Should you buy the cruise line’s insurance or a private policy?
If you a purchase a cruise aboard a major cruise line it may be prudent to buy their insurance and not a private policy. Why? Often times it’s cheaper and they may offer a future cruise credit if you need to cancel for a non-medical reason. And one more point: if you book on-line at the majority of web sites you will be sold private insurance, not the cruise line’s. Why? Well, not because it’s in your best interest but because the seller is making more money.
